My son had this chair put together before I got home from work, so I didn't get a chance to see that the chair legs had sharp something on the bottom. I still haven't turned the chair over to look, but I have put my hand under. It feels like a plastic piece that hadn't been trimmed appropriately. I attached felt furniture pads underneath, which seem to be working well to protect the floor. Unfortunately, there is some damage to my new linoleum floor, see picture. Check the legs before you install them.Other than that, my family likes this chair. As other reviewers have stated, it is firm, very firm. It's a good place to put on shoes in the morning, and we like to watch TV with the chaise pulled out. I've even taken a nap on it. My son loves it. The chaise pulls out easily and the storage space below is a nice bonus.A remodeled front porch with insulated windows (9 of them) and an antique enamel kitchen table and antique love seat needed a functional chair that would fit into a small space. This chair’s simple classic mid-century lines and pull out sleeper was what we needed. My wife and I rotate nap times and one or two of our five grandkids will have a place to sleep over night.This chair is pretty awesome. Doesn't come w/ assembly instructions, but the videos on the sale page are clear. It was easy to assemble. There was a hole slightly askew, but it was an easy fix and didn't take away from the sturdy feel. If you're one of those people who needs to change positions often while reading, this chair is the bomb. I leave a charging cord in the arm for my phone and headphones, slide out the foot, and grab whatever book I chucked under there. I can lay down, recline, sit straight, etc. with ease. The foot stool part, being collapsible and held up with thin bars, did kind of sink a little after awhile but nothing that makes the chair feel broken or look lopsided. It's a solid little guy and I plan on picking another one up eventually for another room I like to read in.Easy to put together, and very sturdy.Pretty firm cushions as a chair but great for sleep if you enjoy sleeping on a firm mattress!
