just received this chair mat. it is just as advertised, I got the largest mat. it is thick and heavy. and the smoked color looks good. surprisingly it came undamaged. the cardboard container was busted open at every seem.this mat is really heavy, so it is not surprising that the shipping container would be put to test. but I would have assumed that it would have been better protected.With the glass chair mat, my desk chair glides easily over carpet. It disappears from view, makes no crinkly noises, and is so much better than a plastic or vinyl mat!I have both a small space and a task chair that was part on a rug and part on the wood floor. This on off caused my rug to rumple ever time I move my task chair. Problem solved with this glass chair mat. For me it is a perfect solution.Love this l had to put wood under it only because of the carpet. But this is the best floor mat will last a lifetime don't waste your $$ on any thing elseDidn't know what to expect when I ordered it. But after I laid it out on my high pile carpet, it was the best choice I made for my office.simply put desk is poorly built draws do not align well overall a two-star rating is generous only gave it that because the desk price was cut.
