First it looks like the skews have changed so half the reviews are for an older style chair. This review is for the gray chair with black trim.This chair is a very strong 4-star chair. It has a few things I would change but overall, I would recommend it. I use it mostly for work (8–10-hour days) and then recline at night to watch some TV after the family goes to bed. It's a great office chair for long workdays and is VERY comfortable when reclined with the leg rest out.####################Pros- Cloth material and not leather (Why is it so hard to find a cloth chair I'll never know)- It does not have wings on the side that reduce available seating area. The sides are lifted only slightly, but the entire seat is usable. I sit cross legged (Indian style) a lot with my legs underneath me and this is one of the few chairs that will support that because it doesn't have wings. (It's a nice big seat. The wings on all the other chairs make them completely unusable as an office chair imo)- It has a tilt/rocking mechanism as well as reclining function. (BECAREFUL AS MANY RECLINING CHAIRS WITH LEG RESTS ON THE MARKET DO NOT HAVE TILT FEATURE. There appear to be only 2 reclining mechanisms for all chairs and only 1 supports tilt. Along with not having seat wings this was the main reason I chose this chair).- Leg rest length is perfect. Sitting all the way back in the chair (no lumbar pillow) the leg rest comes right to the end of my calf's which is perfect (I'm 5'10 165lb, I sit all the way back in the chair and do not use the lumbar pillow and this chair fits me "Almost" perfectly)- Wheels roll very nicely making it easy to move around if needed. (It's actually noticeable compared to my previous task chair)-Arm rests are comfortable and lock vertically which is nice but as you will see in the cons listed below, they are also the biggest problem with chair.####################Cons- I said the chair fit me "Almost" perfectly and the almost is because the base height is about an inch too high. I would like it to be a little lower. The ease of rocking back forth is a little restricted do the base height. Not unusable but not as nice as my previous chairs that were slightly lower to the ground.-3D arm rests. May GOD smite whatever engineer came up 3D arm rests. There is almost no practical use for an arm rest the pivots in an out and the annoyance of grabbing the chair by the arm rest to move it or adjusting my legs and bumping them and having them pop out of the straight position in to a new one is never ending, and I hate it so much.- Arm rest position. The problem is more likely that I sit all the way back in the chair slightly reclined while I work and do not use the lumbar pillow but as a result the arm rests are about 1-2in to far forward. It's not the worst and they are still usable but it less comfortable that it could be if they were further back. (If not for the 3D arm rest and the position I would give this chair a 5-star rating.####################PRO or CON can't decide-The seat cushion is VERY firm the first time you sit on it. I'll be honest, I wasn't sure if was going to keep the chair after sitting on it the first time. You will feel a little regret at first. But I decided to give it a few weeks and I'm glad I did because it has softened up quite a bit in that time which is nice. It is pretty comfortable now but still slightly firm. Oddly enough I find myself able to sit in all day despite it being a little firm so maybe it's better that it is. I couldn't decide if I liked it and wanting a little softer seat, I did end up getting an additional seat cushion for the chair which I would highly recommend you do.
